Germany’s capital is known by being one of the most visited cities in Europe, a fun place, full of history and culture, where you can either learn about the city’s past or party hard at night.
If you are thinking about visiting the German city and the budget is not that big at this very moment, don’t you panic. Lucky, the city is very fortable with many cool free attractions to do.
To help you to plan a very nice trip, we’ve decided to share a list with five suggestions of free things you can do there. Take a look and enjoy it:
1- Visit galleries, many galleries:
We are all aware of how art is a big deal in Berlin. The art scene is great here, with many places where you can find from contemporary to coloquial art, there are galleries for all tastes.
Also, if you visit an opening gallery, it is a chance to socialize with people and have a very fun night.
2- Check the street art:
Again, we can’t deny that Berlin is one of the world’s street capitals. There are many local artis showing their talents in the city, and you have the chance to admire it all for free.

3- Visit the Brandenburg Gate:
An iconic symbol of the city, the Brandenburg Gate, the monument has over two hundred years of history. It became a symbol of the divided nation, which separated East from West Berlin, politically and geographically.

4- Holocaust Memorial:
History in Berlin can never be forgotten because it can never happen again and the locals are aware of that.
The Holocaust Memorial is one of the most visited places in the city, a place that represnt all the sadnes the Germans must always carry with them. The memorial was built to honor all the victims of these terrible event.
To get there by subway is pretty easy, it is very close to Potsdamer Platz Station and the Memorial is open for the public, you don't need to pay for the ticket, it is free entrance.
5- Have a picnic in some of the many parks of the city:
The city is full of free parks and green areas, we totally recommend you to spend an afternoon outside.
Especially in the Summer, a picnic in the park just can’t be a bad idea.
