New York City was once the epicenter of the coronavirus in the United States of America, now the graphic of infecteds shows us a real fall in the numbers in the last months.
Thinking about that, the city that never sleeps decided to start the fourth phase of the “going back to normal" process.
If you are considering to visit NYC or need to go to the city for some work reason, there is a big list of things you must follow.

- What does Phase 4 means?
Now restaurants are allowed to open, only the ones with outdoor seating, it is important to remember that you can’t have meals inside of places right now.
Stores are reopening too, but with many and many cares, the offices are allowed to reopening too if they can follow the hygiene and safety protocol.
It is also possible to see salons, spas and barber shops reopening and professional sports without audience it is allowed right now to.
But, we must remember that:
- Everyone must wear face masks
- Always wash your hands, or use gel sanitizers when it is not possible to wash.
- Social distance is important, it is not the time to hug and kiss people (even the ones you know)
What about the tourist; what is opened and what is not?
The big apple decided to reopen its biggest symbol, the Statue of Liberty is now welcoming visitors, but with several changes. For example:
- The interior area of the Statue of Liberty stills closed for now
- Reduced capacity of people
- Masks are required for everybody
- Social distance
Also, the zoos: the Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Queens Zoo, and Prospect Park Zoo will have their reopening on july 24 with masks required for the stad and the visitors and many sanitizing stations. The New York Botanical Garden is ready to welcome tourists too.
Other important tourist spot is reopened too, the Empire State Building observatory, once that is an outdoor place it is also allowed if the protocol is followed and the people’s capacity is reduced.
Coronavírus surprised all of us, we watched the city that never sleeps had its lights out but things seems to getting better right now.
