4 best things to do in Venice

How could someone even start to describe Venice? Let’s start by saying how beautiful and romantic this italian city is, where many couples spend lovely days there, but families love the city too, especially with kids. Are you planning to visit Venice? To help you with that, we made a list with the 4 places where you will have a very great time. There are other important places too, but these 4 you just can’t miss.

1- Basilica di San Marco: 

In english, St Mark's Basilica, it is located at the most famous square in Venice, the San Marco Square. It is the place where the tourists most love, because it is where the Palazzo Ducale and the Clock Tower too. (two other famous constructions of the city)

Get there as early as you can and book some hours to stay, you can have some food, the place has many great restaurants.

2- Gondola ride:

The coolest and most traditional ride you can take in the city, a good option if you are travelling on a romantic trip or on a family trip. Everybody loves a gondolas ride, besides that, it is possible to see the touristic hotspots.

It is possible to find it in almost every corner of the city, you just have to get in the line and pay 80 dollars for (4 people), but if you are looking for something more romantic, it is possible to go in only 2 too.

The ride lasts 30 to 40 minutes, it depends on your choice and how much you are willing to spend.

3- The Bridge of Sighs:

Some people say that it is the most beautiful bridge in the city, probably because of its name. The bridge is connected to the building where used to be a prison in the old times, and the legend says that it is “Bridge of Sighs" because, in the past, was the last time the prisoners could see the world.

4- Doge’s Palace:

One of the most important buildings in the city and also located at the San Marco Square, the place has an amazing architecture, with elements from the Renaissance and Gothic period. You will spend something like 3 or 4 hours, so be prepared.
